"We had a wonderful visit to Fresne Ducret: Pierre Fresne could not have been more helpful or friendly and our tour was very informative (and the wine is delectable). You also booked accommodation in Epernay and the hotel was friendly, interesting and well-placed: thank you again for this. Dining out in Epernay we met some other 3D members on their way back from the truffle- hunting weekend on the Rhone! We do recommend you to all our friends because of these good experiences."

"We had a superb visit. Jean Albert was charming and very knowledgeable. We learnt about cultivation of the vines, how all the different wines are made and the tasting was brilliant. We were tiddly by 11.30am as the wine was too good to spit out. Saumur Champigny is a favourite of ours and this was among the best we have tasted. We went with friends and we had such a good laugh. We bought quite a bit of wine and the Cote de Saumur pudding wine was delicious too. We will be back."

“The Magnum Champagne tasting at Fresne Ducret was an inspired and unique event ...There were Magnums that his Farther had put down that still had the plug of yeast and a crown cap still on, there was no label or notes about the wine only the date so it really was pot luck but one that paid off. "All the people I have met connected with 3D wines are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My first row was a gift for a big birthday. Visiting the vineyard was an eye opening experience. The owners were enthusiastic and keen to explain all that affects the taste and how it varies from year to year, and how its produced.  A detailed tour of the cellar, coupled with a view of the owners own stock followed. Then there was the tasting!  On my first excursion with 3D Wines to France (4 nights away) we visited vineyards for tours and tastings, dined in style in an owners ancient cellar, local delicacies with local wines, ate pate and cheese accompanied by sweet (yes sweet) white wine at nine thirty in the morning, and attended a full blown “fete du vin”. A wine lovers dream!"

"The visit to Domaine Lucien Jacob was a complete joy! ... Christine took us up the hill to see the blossom on the chardonnay in the "les larrets" vineyard. When we came back we toured the cellar before an extensive tasting including my own wines and the parcel I was unfortunate to have missed out on. It was so good that as well as collecting my own wines I bought a mixed half case of some of the other delights we'd sampled. Christine was a really good host and my only regret is that we couldn't have planned better to tie this in with the annual Burgundy picnic. Many thanks again to Domaine Jacob!"

We share the joy of Fernand and Catherine as their family extends and wish them a long and happy retirement. They have worked hard to build their wine business – we remember the early days without the modern facilities they have since added; although ours is a small contribution, we feel part of the development.
     We recently enjoyed the 3D Wine weekend in Burgundy, with ‘our’ vineyard being the charming hosts; a feast of wine and food cheerfully laid and disposed of in the manner it deserved! Good company, lots of fun, very memorable. Here’s to the next 15 years. We will raise a glass (or two) of our best Chevrot wine in their and your direction."
