Trophy for 3D Wines' Loire red
Proving
our position as champion of quality red Loire wines, this year we
received the first ever Trophy for Loire reds at the International
Wine Challenge - the biggest blind tasting in the world.
The Trophy was awarded to our 2005 vintage of Saumur-Champigny from Domaine de la Cune.
The Judges' tasting notes described the wine as "Very youthful. Wonderfully ripe. Raspberry coulis with ripe vibrant and complex flavours. Good texture. So young yet so attractive."
About Domaine de la Cune
Domaine de la Cune nestles in a dip in the rolling limestone plateau just outside Saumur. Its vineyards cover a subtle variety of soils in the short distance between the winery and the forested ridge some 500 yards away. This diversity of terroir has meant that this is a sought after location for grape growing.
