A Taste of Burgundy
13 – 16 June 2019
Based in the historic walled town of Beaune, our weekend starts with dinner in Beaune along with some of our local winemakers.
On Friday we will visit Tonnellerie François Frères. Here we will learn how those all important barrels are made. Afterwards we will enjoy some free time in Beaune, have lunch and explore the town before meeting up with our Trophy Medal-winning vigneron, Vincent Désertaux. We will taste his amazing Meursault standing in the vines from which it was made, followed by a visit and tasting at his domaine in Corgoloin.
The highlight of our weekend will be on Saturday, with our tour, tasting and picnic amongst the vines with Jean-Michel and Christine Jacob at their domaine in the pretty hamlet of Échevronne. A lovely, tranquil, shady spot to unwind with good food, wine and company. The perfect end to a perfect weekend.
