I've just worked my way through a sextet of the company's [3D's] wines and the quality was admirably high. The Saumur-Champigny is gentle yet spicy with fragrant floral lift to its succulent cherry and blackcurrant fruit... The Margaux is more robust, with the firm tannins encased in juicy, earthy blackcurrant tar and cigar box flavours.
The Wine
3D Wines was established in 1992 and since then has developed a
superb reputation worldwide as a French specialist wine importer.
We have vineyards in seven of the most important French
wine
regions: the Loire, Bordeaux, Champagne, Alsace,
Burgundy, Beaujolais and the Rhône. Our list includes wines
from many famous appellations such as Champagne, Margaux,
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Sancerre, Nuits-St-Georges,
Chablis, Gevrey-Chambertin and Fleurie.
Many of our wines are produced exclusively for us. For example, they will be specially blended, or the wine will come from a particularly good terroir, or it will be vinified from old vines to produce more complex wines.
Our wines regularly win top medals and trophies at some of the major wine competitions in Europe including the International Wine Challenge - the largest blind tasting in the world!
