3D celebrates record number of medals at the 2008 International Wine Challenge
Now in its 25th year, the 2008 International Wine Challenge was tougher than ever, not only due to the sheer volume of wines entered - almost 10,000 - but also because the Chairmen were the best of the best, and included 29 Masters of Wine. The organisers have boldly labelled the Challenge as the 'pre-eminent arbiter of wine quality' and they are probably right.
This year 3D entered 51 wines and when the results were announced we were delighted to learn that 25 of them had been awarded a medal - including a coveted Gold - and a further 16 were commended. A remarkable achievement (more than double the average for the competition) which demonstrates the consistent in-depth quality of our wines. Moreover, the our wines are great value for money: for example Maison Lenique's Gold Medal-winning champagne, at £14.22, is less than half the price of other Gold Medal champagnes, which ranged from £45 to £125.
