Autumn 2006: The Caslot’s at Domaine de la Chevalerie have just started the ECOCERT viticultural certification process (ECOCERT is the leading international inspection and certification body for organic farming). It takes three years to go through the programme so although they’ve been working organically since 2003 and now the monitoring has begun, their first official ECOCERT vintage will be in 2009. The domaine has just been awarded the special prize of Coup de Coeur in the 2007 edition of Hachette - the top French wine guide - for their Bourgueil Cuvée Gauchets 2004.
