Domaine Chalmeau News

Spring 207: Congratulations to Franck and Sébastien Chalmeau for winning a Gold Medal at their regional Concours des Vins de l’Auxerrois in November 2006 for their Bourgogne Chitry blanc 2005. This is a special cuvée made from 45-year-old chardonnay vines and matured in oak barrels. Don’t miss it on your next dégustation at the vineyard!

Autumn 2006: Congratulations to Franck Chalmeau who received three Silver Medals at the prestigious Mâcon wine tasting in May this year - including one for his Chablis 2004. He also said that this year's Option wine was selected as a "tasteviné" by the confrererie des chevaliers de tastevin at a special tasting at the Clos Vougeot, so it has a special label.

Spring 2006: Brothers Franck and Sébastien have just introduced two new cuvées to their range - a Chitry red and a white - both of which are well worth trying. And if you think their Aligoté is too good for Kir (we do!), why not try a bottle or two of the little-known Sacy instead?
