Mercurey Premier Cru Clos des Combins

Our Clos des Combins is one of the most famous Premier Cru wines in Mercurey and is produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the slope behind the village, which can easily be reached on foot from the domaine.

The wine is characterised by its deep colour and powerful, complex blackberry bouquet that also has a slightly 'foxy' aroma, very typical of Burgundian Pinot Noir. To taste it is rich and smooth with plenty of soft tannins, a touch of vanilla from the oak barrels in which it is aged, and refreshing, mouthwatering acidity. Released to Partners two years after the vintage it can be enjoyed relatively young, although it will improve considerably in bottle for a number of years if carefully cellared.
