Domaine Lacharme

The little village of La Roche-Vineuse to the west of Mâcon has been home to Maurice Lacharme since he was born there in 1929. His eldest son Gérard became interested in the winemaker's life from an early age and it was clear he would continue the development of the domaine started by his parents. Gérard and his wife Brigitte have two sons, Julien and Sébastien, but it is Sébastien who is now working full time with his parents and grandparents. Three generations working together on the same property - doesn't that cause friction? "Why should it?" says Maurice, "We all have one watchword - quality. Everyone has their say and everyone's opinion is just as important as the others. We never forget that to our customers it is quality that counts".

The truth of his words is evident. You can see it in the winery - neat rows of barrels specially selected from oak grown in the Tronçais forest; you can hear it - there is genuine passion in their words; and above all you can taste it ...

• Bourgogne rouge La Genière (red)
  2 cases (24 bottles) maximum

Your wine is available in May each year; Partners joining after April 1st in any year will receive their Option the following year.
