Domaine Chevrot

The long drive down the autoroute was over, and as we climbed the hill out of the village we caught our first glimpse of the ancient farmhouse, the walls dappled with the ochre tints of high summer. As we pulled into the courtyard, pools of red geraniums flowing from old clay pots lapped at the steps. Hot and tired, we were led into the magnificent cellar that runs the entire length of the house. Here we relaxed as our senses were gradually revived by the wonderful wine and that old French vineyard magic began to weave its delightful spell ...

Originally belonging to a magistrate from Dijon, the vineyard was bought for a life annuity by Fernand and Catherine Chevrot, a charming couple whom we have known for many years. Their sons Pablo and Vincent are now in charge of the winemaking and continue the tradition of meticulous attention to detail, both in the vines and the winery.

• Maranges rouge Le Bois de Clémentine (red)
  2 cases (24 bottles) maximum

• Hautes Côtes de Beaune blanc (white)
  2 cases (24 bottles) maximum

Your wine is available in March each year; Partners joining after February 1st in any year will receive their Option the following year.
